Where Are They Now?

Where did GI Joe go? What happened to Barbie? Where are all the dolls? The ones that talked when you pulled the string, who cried, wet, blinked? The baby doll with hair that stood up straight like a troll? Where are the trolls, now that you mention them. Out gallivanting with the smurfs?

Where are the three wheeled trikes? The two wheelers? The training wheels? The big wheelies? The bike with the banana seat? Girl bike. Boy bike. The thin tires, the balloon tires . The pedal cars?

All the balls have bounced into oblivion. Baseball, soccer, basket, tennis,whiffle. Somewhere in the grass probably. Along with the bats, paddles, rackets.

And what happened to all those team tee shirts? Tee ball, machine pitch, kid pitch, little league?

Remember the green army men? A hundred to one plastic bag, all ready to kneel, shoot, attack, take cover, march, stand at attention til eternity.? Gone.

Oh, there they all are. Up in the Great Toy Room in the Sky. Waiting patiently for some action.. GI Joe is holding his AK 47, standing guard over his vast collection of accessories . Wait. Here comes Barbie! Hmm.
