Bearing in mind the burgeoning capabilities of AI (capitalized because it’s an acronym like NASA or FIFA, and lower case when used in a sentence) to alter our way of thinking or learning, I wonder if artificial intelligence can be artistically creative. If so, I hope the traditional creative arts are never forgotten or ignored. I am reminded that almost everyone in the western world knows the words and tune to “You Are My Sunshine, my only sunshine” or “Happy Birthday.” Should you happen to run into someone who does not, then it is incumbent on you to teach it to him immediately and don’t leave until they can sing it through, with harmonizing if possible. Our music memory is sacred Even if AI can create, let’s not abandon the creations of our forefathers.
