I’ve lived long enough now to have experienced many weddings; the clam bake in Maine, the Old North Church in Boston, the town green in Concord, Mass, on the beach in Florida, in living rooms, on porches, all generating such genuine smiles and laughter. Weddings may not be so popular as they once were, but I hope they will never be abandoned completely. What a welcome relief from all the negativity of the Trump Era! Everyone needs a wedding once in a while. Keep them coming!

If so, I hope the traditional creative arts are never forgotten or ignored. I am reminded that almost everyone in the western world knows the words and tune to “You Are My Sunshine, my only sunshine” or “Happy Birthday.” Should you happen to run into someone who does not, then it is incumbent on you to teach it to him immediately and don’t leave until they can sing it through, with harmonizing if possible. Our music memory is sacred Even if AI can create, let’s not abandon the creations of our forefathers.
